The AS-3000 is the best two piece suit in the Nelson Rigg lineup (as of this writing anyway). We've offered the SR-6000 suit for years and this suit has the same basic construction, but has more features... more on par with the more expensive suits from Tour Master and others. I'll let you read the bullets at the top of the page and most are self-explanatory, but I'll try and give you some comparison info between this suit and the lesser priced suit. What is better Well, the jacket has a nylon liner in the body and sleeves so it will slip over riding gear easier. Without a liner your gear is in contact with the shell material which is rubbery feeling and doesn't slide on as easily. And the pants have the addition of suspenders (which I really like) and have fabric "heat shield" patches overlaying the polyester material in the pant legs. Now there's no guarantee that a hot pipe can't come in contact with something, but having a good size overlay there will definitely lessen the chances. So, this is a full featured rain suit that is sturdy and will hold up to more-than-occasional use. The suit comes in a nice fabric and plastic bag for storage.
